Orchids from the Oregon Society Show. I purchased these plants from the sales area in bud so I could photograph them later. The pale lavander Laelia Purpurata hybrid was suppossed to be a pure white with yellow center, the orange one a first blooming seedling is probably virused because the flowers quickly developed brown spots and shrivelled up soon after blooming. I'll probably have to toss it.

I've grown them since 86' when I was given my first plant. I started photographing them and then I became more involved in the photography and started ignoring the plants. Cut back my collection to something I can manage along with the photography. It takes a little time and a lot of patience to learn to grow them properly but it is worth it as I am sure you are aware.
