Warmtoned papers Coldtoned papers
I have been trying to make cold tone papers work better for me. My eye is naturally drawn towards the chocolate and ivory of warm tone papers more then the purer black and white in the cold toned papers, but I like the pure satin black that comes out with the coldtoned ilford paper especially with the matte finish. I recently found at Citizens Photo seperate Iford paper developers for each of the two types of paper and in experiments I did notice a slightly greater tonal range in a coldtoned paper developed with a cold toned paper developer over the standard Bromophen developer I have always used with whatever paper I have.
