Picture taken in 1972 of what was left of the Inter-Urban rail line that ran between Portland and Oregon City near Roethe Road .
A Gallery of photographs going back 40 years to when I first began using a camera. I remain committed to traditional photographic methods using the same equipment I learned on back in the 60's and 70's.

1972? Hmm.... The rails were removed in the early 1970's. The right-of-way looks more deteriorated than it should for 1972. Also the plant growth is considerable. There were still trains running over this line in 1968. This picture looks like it would have been taken much later. Maybe late 1970's or 1980's. Still, it's interesting.
I am pretty sure the last train ran along the line in 1967(I was living just a block away and used to walk along the rail beds a lot) and the rails were torn up starting in 1970. I know the picture was taken between 1972- 1975.
