Microphotography 1972. In college I did a photo essay on life around a pond near my home. These were some of the more interesting pictures taken with my Nikon attached to a very nice microscope at PSU.

Damsel fly taken 1969 Posted by Picasa I have always been drawn to small subjects and the landscapes that exist within a few square inches. Insects, flowers, frogs, snakes, fish were some of my first subjects that I trained my camera on.

Here are two of my very first photographs made around 1967-68 when I first started practicing photography. The still life is a scan from the orginal print made in my first attempts at developing and printing images using the 40's era Argus equipment my Mother had. I was at the time very proud of the clouds over the Willamette picture because I used a red filter. I like the still life of the plant. Botanical subjects are still a favorite of mine.

I have created this site for the display of photographs I have taken since 1967 as an amateur photographer in Oregon. I am dedicated to the exploration of photography created from light sensitive materials not megapixels manipulated by photoshop. Posted by Picasa
