I saw some photographs by Joseph Sudek where he photographed objects in his studio windowsill. For years I've done something similar. Here are few examples from the 70's and 80's

Tulip Tree in Lone Fir 2007 I took this picture just yesterday with my Mamiya Camera. F32 @ 1/8 of a sec, yellow filter. Printed on Ilford Warmtone paper.

My Mamiya is back. I got my Mamiya C-220 twin lens back after three months in camera repair. I do love old cameras but you should always figure a 150-200.00 camera repair to the price of any older camera because eventually you will shell that out. I love the Mamiya twin lens though for it's square format, additional lenses and image quality. The standard 80mm lens is very versatile because it can focus down to 8" from subject to infinity for fine macro work (though if you do that be sure to invest in a paramender to correct for parallax distortion).
A few of the Black and White photos that I took while up in the Seattle area on a family spring break trip. Not very impressive.
